The Digital Marketing Community Manager reports to the Marketing Director, and will provide regional marketing support to MidSouth Bank’s Texas region, developing and implementing strategies to grow brand presence and the bank’s commercial loan and deposit portfolio. This person will also lead the strategy development and delivery of digital marketing components to various audiences across multiple digital channels, including web content, mobile, email, in-store digital displays and onsite display ads. The Digital Marketing Community Manager will develop, implement, track and optimize digital marketing campaigns. This person will also serve as a product marketer for assigned lines of business. The Brand and Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders including sales, eBanking, and business line owners. This combined field-based and internal position requires strategic thinking, flexibility, planning, and budgeting for marketing programs; assuring programs are implemented based on marketing program guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities: • Develop and support initiatives that align to corporate marketing strategic objectives. • Assist with region and local market programs and follow-up plans for lead generation, taking ownership from inception to delivery with a focus on ROI • Work with external creative and media agencies to implement campaigns, product marketing plans, and sponsorship activations. • Use independent thought and leadership to move projects forward while maintaining clean lines of communication with all involved departments and management. • Demonstrate core proficiencies necessary to lead business line, local, and regional teams, while continuously seeking opportunities to develop and gain experience. • Effectively collaborate with key personnel in service partner and sales divisions concerning product lines managed, sales support utilized and developed, and campaigns designed and activated. • Assist in designation of corporate sponsorship spending. Manage designated corporate sponsorship activation and ongoing sponsored entity relations. • Work closely with Digital Channel Managers to optimize the use of each digital channel for campaign efforts and creative team (e.g. writers, designers) to execute the campaign vision. • Plan and execute web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, and display advertising campaigns • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights. • Evaluate emerging technologies in digital marketing and eBanking. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate. • Collaborate with designers, product marketers, contract writers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant digital content and campaigns that meet the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
Qualifications: • BA or BS in marketing, advertising, or communications • 5-7 years marketing experience, managing multiple relationships across multiple markets; • Proven track record of successfully partnering with sales management; • Experience with developing integrated, multi-touch marketing plans; • Experience with segmentation-based marketing; • A passion for and understanding of the financial services industry; • A proactive self-starter who doesn’t wait for things to happen; • Brand marketing experience required;
