JOB DESCRIPTION The firm is seeking an experienced marketing manager to lead development and execution of a strategic marketing plan focused on the Advisor-sold Defined Contribution business. In addition to developing and vetting the strategic plan, responsibilities will include development of highly effective campaigns, messages, and material in support of PIMCO's products and strategies specific to the Defined Contribution (DC) business. This person will report to the head of Defined Contribution Marketing in mid-town Manhattan. This team is part of PIMCO's Global Marketing organization.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders within the DC business to understand the key business objectives and needs of the advisor channel and to develop the strategic marketing plan aligned with those goals and needs. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated interest and experience in partnering with a business function, in addition to proven DC marketing expertise. This is a strategic role that will also require focus on the execution and prioritization of the specific deliverables identified in the marketing plan. This role will also serve as a communications "hub", connecting the needs of the channel with marketing resources. RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development of strategic marketing plan. Manage and prioritize the list of deliverables and calendar of events, as specified in the plan.
Manage one associate with the responsibility of project management, distribution and periodic updates of new and existing content for the DC team.
Leverage existing marketing constructs, assess and establish appropriate, recurring communications constructs for the DC team.
Enhance PIMCO's visibility as a leader in Defined Contribution (internally and externally), leveraging paid media, digital and social tools.
Gather and analyze metrics for all marketing related activities, prepare reports for key stakeholders, and make recommendations based on findings
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial services marketing, with specific experience and proven track record in DC marketing and prior management experience required
Deep knowledge of DC competitive landscape, industry events and media outlets
Leadership and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels, strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and ability to manage multi-faceted initiatives
Strategic thinker, independent problem-solving skills, ability to drive consensus
Ability to make creative contributions that influence campaigns and apply analytical skills to measure success and inform future initiatives.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
