Under general direction of the marketing director, primarily responsible for the recruitment of international students for UC Davis Extension's Center for International Education (CIE). This includes the management and nurturing of relationships with international recruiting partners; direct student recruitment via fairs and other event-based tactics; and working with CIE leadership and UC Davis Extension's Marketing Team to create, manage, implement and track an annual, Center-wide marketing and travel plan. Responsible for recruiting for CIE and other UC Davis Extension programs at overseas universities, government and private agencies and fairs; building productive international partner, agent and vendor relationships; leading CIE's inquiry management and agent communication strategies; developing policies, procedures and strategies to centralize and advance international marketing efforts; and managing CIE's social media presence (in alignment with UC Davis Extension's overall social media strategy). In addition, plays a key role in developing existing partnerships and investigating potential new international contract and open enrollment business opportunities.
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in international recruitment and market research, analysis, needs assessment and marketing strategies.
Experience working in a marketing, sales or recruitment capacity, with demonstrated negotiation and professional selling skills.
International recruitment, marketing or sales experience.
Bachelor's degree in International Marketing, International Business, International Relations, Communications or a similarly relevant field, or equivalent experience/training.
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and/or international education.
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously and meeting various deadlines with minimum supervision.
Significant experience presenting before groups and facilitating meetings.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), survey software, database and/or business tracking systems.
Superior professional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to interact professionally, diplomatically and effectively in person, on the telephone and electronically with a diverse group of staff, students and clientele.
Skills to establish effective working relationships with a diverse group of staff, students and clientele.
Skills to work independently with minimum direction and collaboratively within a team or group.
