The Content Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing in Continuing Education, and is responsible for developing, creating, publishing, tracking, repurposing, and continuous improvement of content for Bellevue College Continuing Education. A primary function is creating content for social media platforms. This includes, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and our website.
Writing for media while maintaining a consistent voice and speaking to our identified audience is a crucial competency. Search Engine Optimization, web editing, understanding web analytics along with social media strategy and implementation are key aspects of the role.
Essential Functions/Typical Duties
Maintain social media streams
Create, upload new content to social media stream daily.
Create and post social media ads as appropriate to support programs and the marketing plan.
Engage with communities via calendars and media streams.
Promote classes and programs via social media.
Plan a remarketing strategy using social media for the programs.
Upload, post new content to the website weekly
Work with appropriate teams to correct issues if needed
Monitor the website content for consistency and errors.
Develop new content for the website and schedule
Find, interview, edit and write subjects
Work across programs to plan and execute events
Manage all aspects of events
Promote events as they happen
Act as the Public Relations contact for Continuing Education
Collaborate across teams and with stakeholders in the organization
Assist Marketing Director as required
Associate's degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field
Two (2) years experience working in a similar position (internship experience will count towards professional experience)
A basic understanding of WordPress and HTML.
Mastery of Social Media for a business
Strong understanding of social media tools.
Effective editorial and writing skills
Experience working with Google Analytics and/or other analytics tools
Strong organizational skills
Experience working in a collaborative team environment with diverse employees and customer groups
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Programming skills in WordPress and HTML.
Previous experience working in for an educational institution or private sector in a similar role.
