The Marketing Specialist is responsible for implementation media advertising campaigns for the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, and specifically for the Sacramento Citywide Oncology Phase I Program (SCOPE). SCOPE is a partnership program with Dignity Health, Kaiser, Sutter Sierra Oncology and UC Davis. The Marketing Specialist oversees all aspects and stages of creative development for print, digital and mobile advertising, and reviewing and providing strategic and creative input regarding advertising and media plans. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing digital media projects, website content, digital advertising and digital/social media consumer engagement for the SCOPE Program.REQUIRED--Experience working on a variety of advertising and digital efforts, including the coordination of formative research with focus groups and online testing to assess advertising concepts.--Extensive experience managing digital and social media campaigns.--Experience analyzing data and writing a wide variety of media materials. --Extensive project management experience in handling highly visible communications projects.--Experience analyzing digital media, social media, or communications problems, develop alternatives including a list of pros and cons, and make sound recommendations on a course of action to high level administrators on public health communication issues.--Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites.--Exhibits and maintains a high level of integrity, confidentiality, trustworthiness and ethical behavior and the knowledge of the effect and consequences of decisions or actions. --Exceptional verbal and written communications skills needed to competently convey complex issues.PREFERRED--Bachelor's degree communications/journalism/media/public relations or other related field and extensive experience in communications, advertising, and marketing. --Experience working in an academic institutionSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
