Under the direction/supervision of the director or administrator of the Continuing and Distance Engineering Education (CDEE) program, provides engagement and outreach to industry related to CDEE educational programs, creates new relationships for future prospective students. Responsible for implementing engagement activities for the Continuing and Distance Engineering Education programs. Expected to execute daily activities that fulfill goals and objectives of the program and guidelines established by the supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements activities in accordance with goals and objectives set by the Director.
Coordinates meetings with engineering managers, human resources and prospective students.
Prepares necessary information reports as requested by the Director.
Assists with execution of events such as but not limited to workshops, lunch and learns, and informational sessions in accordance with program goals.
Serves as a resource to prospective students, current students, industry partners, faculty and staff on matters relating to CDEE programs.
Engages in promotional activities for the program as requested by the Director.
Assists the Director with collecting program data and evaluation of program effectiveness.
Recruits qualified students for the programs through promotional activities and target populations.
Responsible for various administrative duties as assigned related to marketing needs.
Travel will be required throughout the state, as well as limited travel out of state.
Performs related duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-4 years relevant experience in marketing and business development.
Demonstrates creativity for marketing program.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with client relationship management software.
Ability to interact with academic staff, faculty, and management throughout the University.
Demonstrates ability to independently and collaboratively work to support and promote the program.
Master’s degree in discipline appropriate to the program with 5+ years of experience in marketing and business development.
Demonstrates ability to interact with corporate and prospective student constituency to be served by the program.
Some webmaster experience.
