The Marketing Department at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, is seeking an individual with industry experience and proven teaching effectiveness to fill a Lecturer position, beginning January 2019, with a possibility of a fall 2019 start.
For a candidate to be considered, a master's degree and significant professional experience are required.
The person hired will be expected to teach 18 credit hours a year at the undergraduate level in the area of professional sales, as well as marketing courses. The sales courses could include Sales Strategy, Personal Selling and Sales Management, Sales for Social Impact, and Inside Sales using Technology. In addition the candidate should be prepared to work closely with the Director of the Sales Center to partner with companies, develop educational offerings of value to students, and support sales competitions and other events offered by the center.
The ideal candidate is expected to have broad based industry, consulting, and training experience in sales force effectiveness and prior experience teaching sales at the university (AACSB) level. For example, a background in multiple industries (e.g., consumer products goods, industrial, medical, technology, software, services) will allow the ideal candidate to engage with our diverse group of corporate partners and advise students on different types of sales career options.
