The Integrated Marketing Communications Specialist will be a key member of the Marketing team. This individual will provide invaluable support and assistance to key Marketing initiatives and tactics for Summer@Wellesley and related programs. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is a highly visible role in a small, growing team within Wellesley College. Requires independent initiative, outstanding organizational skills and experience in communications/advertising. The ideal candidate is passionate about media and utilizes brand and consumer insights to drive business outcomes through smart and innovative solutions. This is a role with room to grow, and additional opportunities may be available based on skills, qualifications, and interests of the successful candidate. Position is temp to perm.
Job Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of strategy and integrated marketing plans Develop integrated tactical marketing plans including planning, creation, production and tracking of print media, direct mail, outdoor, digital advertising, paid search, events, and social media tactics Manage creative development and production for advertising and collateral ensuring the brand is consistent and aligned to Wellesley’s standards Identify new strategic partner opportunities, manage existing partners, develop creative solutions, formalize contractual agreements and execute on the solution Monitor media campaigns and when needed, have campaign performance meetings internally to review and optimize results. Maintain/manage marketing budgets and adherence to timelines Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, outside agencies and cross-functional teams
This is a 14 hour per week casual wage position.
Skills & Capabilities: Work independently and take initiative to manage administrative needs Strong understanding of paid media strategies across digital and traditional with a focus on digital An excellent understanding and eye for basic design principles: composition, layout, typography, color, etc. Exceptional organizational and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to work well with diverse groups of people
Experience Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related discipline Minimum 2-years experience in Communications, with consideration to be given to related internships (industry or agency-based)
